Cookies and browser storage
Essential browser storage remembers your theme (theme), the drawing notice
version you read (dwg-notice-read), and a random browser identifier
(dwg-inspector-device) sent to our licensing API to account for demo usage.
It contains no drawing contents or name. These values have no automatic browser expiry;
clearing site data removes them. The identifier is pseudonymous, not anonymous.
Optional Google Ads measurement loads only after you allow it. Until then we do not load
Google's tag or send it measurement requests. If allowed, Google receives visit and browser
information, including the IP address transmitted to it, and can store advertising cookies
such as _gcl_au and ad-click cookies. We configure a 90-day first-party cookie
lifetime and disable advertising personalisation signals. Google describes its cookie
names, purposes and lifetimes in its advertising cookie information
and international processing in its privacy policy.
Allow and reject are equally available. You can change or withdraw your choice through
Advertising choices in the footer. Withdrawing stops the tag by reloading
the page and removes its first-party ad cookies; use your browser controls to remove any
cookies stored on Google's own domains. Withdrawal does not undo earlier processing.
website:ads-consent:v1 stores your choice and date locally; we ask again after
180 days. The stored value itself remains until replaced or site data is cleared.
Rejecting does not affect the demo. Choices for this site and the licensing portal are separate.
Drawings stay on your device
The DWG demo runs entirely in your browser. Opening a drawing does not upload it.
What is recorded when a drawing is opened
Whether it opened, how long it took, the file size, the DWG version, counts of objects, entities, layers and blocks, and — if it failed — the category of the failure. No file name, no layer or block names, no text, and no part of the drawing itself. These records are kept for 180 days and carry no identifier for you: not a cookie, not an account, and not your IP address.
Files you choose to send
If a drawing fails to open you can press “Send the file”. Nothing is uploaded unless you do. A file sent that way is used for one thing — fixing the reader so it can open that drawing. It is not shared with anyone, not published, and not used for anything else. It is deleted automatically 10 days after you send it, fixed or not.
Requests to this site
Logged by Microsoft Azure Application Insights. Our request telemetry includes the page path, referring hostname, whether a visit came from a Google ad, and request country. It excludes ad click identifiers and drawing contents. Azure is configured to discard the IP address. These logs are deleted after 180 days. Optional Google measurement described above has its own processing and retention.
Controller, purposes and legal bases
Dmytro Vakulenko, Franklin Rooseveltlaan 19, Ghent, Belgium, is the controller. Necessary demo licensing and browser storage provide the service you request. Limited operational diagnostics serve our legitimate interests in security and fixing the demo. Files you explicitly send are processed to handle your support request. Optional advertising measurement requires your consent and is separate from using the demo.
Providers and transfers
Microsoft Azure hosts the site, diagnostics and optional submitted files. Google processes opted-in advertising measurement and correspondence sent to our Gmail contact address. Providers may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States, under applicable adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. See Microsoft's data protection terms and Google's transfer safeguards. Contact us for details of applicable safeguards. Shared account and billing processing has its own Privacy Notice.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority or your local authority. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. No personal details are required to view the public site; optional report files are supplied only if you choose.
Asking about your data
Write to dmytro.vakulenko.mail@gmail.com to ask what is held about you, or to have a file you sent deleted.
